Tennessee pics from our other camera

Lunch at the aquarium restaurant in the mall.

On the carousel at the mall. Isabel said "no,no,no..." every time the carousel stopped and cried until they started it up again. At one point she went for 8 trips in a row. Sorry the video is sideways, I always forget you can't rotate them afterwards.

I couldn't help but post a few of these once I saw them. Ha Ha!! (click on them to see the full expressions) At least Jen looks happy.

Our New Car!

Starting on Monday, Mike and I both have to go to work in separate directions, so we had no choice but to buy a car on the weekend. By the way, Mike is supposed to be in Saudi Arabia working in the American Embassy, but because he now has a contract with a 'foreign national' (aka me), his security clearance has been suspended. He basically got kicked out, but is not jobless, which is good.

So now we are both home and both need cars. We decided to go to Carmax, and I think we ended up with a pretty good deal. We bought a 2007 Toyota Corolla S, burgundy, with only 4500 miles. They figured the previous owners decided they couldn't afford it. It has every bell and whistle possible for a Corolla, side head airbags, sunroof, etc, but because it is used, it wasn't out of our range. It is a very smooth ride, and an automatic, which might be better for traffic on the beltway everyday.

The shopping experience wasn't so fun at times. It was 100 F which is hot when browsing cars in a parking lot. When we would climb out of a car, the 100 F air actually felt good. You can imagine how hot it was inside those cars! After we left, the skies opened up with very impressive lightning and the temperature dropped about 20 degrees.

So, here are our pictures! (Oh, and our wonderful cat, Collette)

We spent last week at the cottage and enjoyed lots of sun, swimming and sailing (well, Jeff enjoyed sailing).

Jeff and Matthew share a moment at the cottage this past week.

A few photos from Tennessee

A few photos from my camera.

An "art" shot

At the pool
Running laps in the hallway with mum and Jen.

Auntie Jen and Isabel sharing a laugh. Poor aunt Jen must've eaten 100 blueberries as Isabel found it endlessly funny feeding them to her.

Isabel rapt with "baby einstein."

We had lots of fun, ate way too many cookies, and I dominated in crib (except when I didn't).
More photos to follow.

Just back from our trip to the Texas Hill Country. We rented a cabin on a lake Northwest of Austin, lots of fun!

This blog is a good idea. I give you a 9.5 on the back flip Stuart, Debby a 10.

Another fun day at the pool. Here's a pic of Isabel with her auntie Jenny and a couple links to Me and Debby doing backflips off the board.

Yesterday, we piled into the van for a trip to Nashville. Poor Grandpa was working 24 hours in Celina so he didn't get to come with us. We stopped in a diner for lunch and we all ate a little too much. Anyway, Isabel was quite taken with the waitress. She had a bit of a raspy voice and Isabel didn't take her eyes off of her until she was out of sight.

This is a picture taken with a cellphone, so the quality isn't great, but I think it captured her thoughtful expression!

Matthew's baptism at St. Ninian's Cathedral in Antigonish. Despite the state he's in, he did really well and only cried afterward. Pictured are Jeff, Sue, Matthew and Godparents Cheryl and Mike.

Sadie and her "little fella", as she calls him.

Sadie and her Cousins, fingerpainting.

August in Erin

After Mum's famous roast beef dinner, we are relaxing and entering the first of (hopefully) many posts on The Branson Bulletin. Our day was full with a swim in the pool, afternoon naps, Baby Einstein education and a few glasses of wine. Mum, Dad, Stuart, Debby, Isabel, and I (Jen) are enjoying an August weekend in Erin together.

Isabel is enjoying her new Tiger. Grandpa is reading a book about Grandmas...and their love of purses. Daddy and Isabel are enjoying Baby Einstein.
