Mike and I are very excited to be in the process of buying a house. We are pre-approved and our offer was accepted so now we are just waiting to finalize. Closing date is not until April 27th which gives us lots of time to get used to the idea of owning a house! We weren't expecting to buy so soon, but really loved this house. Here are a few pictures, keep in mind that this is not our decorating. I LOVE the backyard and the windows looking out to the backyard. We are still in Silver Spring just a little farther out from DC. Mike will still metro in and my commute is about the same, so in the same neighborhood which is nice. Here it is!

I have no idea why it came out underlined. I tried to fix it, but gave up.
There...fixed. :D
Great pictures Jen. Do you need help moving in? We are so happy for you.
Lots of love Mum
It's a lovely home. I'm very very happy for both of you. Are the cats going to become outdoor cats? It looks like there is lots of sunshine!
The next 2 months are probably going to just fly by.
Congratulations and lots of love,
Debby, Stuart, Isabel and Charlie
We haven't decided what to do with the cats. They will want to go outside but I don't know if the younger one knows how to survive outside. We have already seen a cat and a bit crow in the backyard...could be exciting!
There is a lot of sun, it's great.
The house and yard look great you guys. So I guess you'll need tools for Christmas presents..
You better watch out or Dad will find a bunch of stuff for him to "fix" ... (code for trips to Lowe's and also code for hoping you're okay that the toilet flushes when you turn on the bathroom light... Ha Ha)
Congratulations on the new house! It'll be so exciting moving in and making it your own. You must have a lot of projects in mind. When Dad comes to visit and Mike disappears for a few hours, expect him to come home with a new tool. Also, I wouldn't leave Dad unattended in the house for too long, you may find a hole in your kitchen floor, or some such thing. Just speaking from experience!! ;)
Love,
Sue
Hah! I do have a list of projects, some already discussed with Dad...should be interesting!
Well we've all had our fix-it time with Dad but I have to say if only I could be a fly on the wall when you two work on a project together... I am getting itchy fingers already... HA!
Oh man the heads will be butting I'm sure....
Mike just asked me what itchy fingers means!
